Johnny Horn is basically self-taught as an artist. He has always felt that our museum is the proper place to exhibit his art. His paintings are extremely expressive and powerful. The strong dynamics are further underlined by his sensitive use of colour. He is capable of using colour for the dramatic expression, but also putting it to use in a both well-balanced and daring composition.
