Johnny Horn is one of the major outsider artists represented with a few works in the permanent exhibition of Museum Ovartaci. The one-man show: “Crazy Horse” introduces you to a wider range of his art.

Whether it’s the concrete aspect or the spontaneous abstraction, there is always a tremendous energy at stake in the paintings of Johnny Horn.

In their structure the works are the essence of great dynamics and intensity. The picture may be powerful and overwhelming, but the balance is always there. It seems that Horn strains the canvas to the breaking point without elaborate calculations.

Horns’ works are grotesque and insistent, reckless and releasing.
