Creative Workshop on wheels

In the later parts of May, the creative workshop for kids visited Bostedet Windsor. The reason behind the visit was an internal thematic workshop for residents and employees, all facilitated by Elaine.

The mood was good and via a playful approach to being creative, some very exciting artworks were created – imaginary faces, paintings made while not looking, and portraits with many personal symbols.

The workshop ended with a small exhibition showcasing everything created during the workshop.

What a party

The sun was shining, and everyone smiling when Museum Ovartaci celebrated the one-year anniversary of the new museum.

On offer throughout the day was sunshine, flags, speeches and happy people of all ages. For the early birds, the day started out with coffee and delicious cakes inspired by Ovartaci’s girls. Early afternoon was the grand opening of the new mini exhibition “the Elephant in the room” consisting of artworks from the museum’s large collection of Art Brut. The day finished with some jazz and many happy young people.

The museum wishes to thank all the visitors that throughout the entire day stopped by the museum to join in the celebration.

Nicotina on road

Nicotina is a 2,7-meter-tall copy of one of Ovartaci’s smoking phantoms created by the creative workshop Frirummet. Since the opening of the new museum, Nicotina has been ever-present in welcoming the guests to Kulturhus Bunkeren except for a small working-holiday the last 14 days.

From May 15 to June 2 Nicotina was hard at work by the museum’s exhibition at DOKK1. To get to and from work she simply hopped on the light railway running from the museum straight to DOKK1.
Nicotina is now back at the museum, once again ready to welcome the guests!
